We are very happy to invite you to the Inauguration Course of the KPL Victory Stupa in Colombia.

These are the dates for the building up (21 October – 3 November) and dismantling phase (8-15 November) of the course.

ACCOMMODATION

At kpl

We have a lot of space in KPL for camping (please bring your tent, sleeping bag, mat, meditation cushion, warm clothes, boots, raincoats, etc.).

Daily maximum temperatures are around 21 °C, rarely dropping below 19 °C or exceeding 23 °C.

Minimums are around 12 °C, rarely fall below 8 °C or exceed 14 °C.

OUTSIDE OF KPL

There are plenty of hotels in the nearby town, Villa de Leyva (25 min by car) where you can look for different accomodation options (hotels, hostels, airbnb). We recommend that you make your booking as soon as possible, as there is an important event in the town the same days of the course.

WEATHER IN KPL

Daily highs in KPL are around 21°C, rarely go below 19°C or above 25°C, although the sun is strong, so we recommend bringing sunscreen and a hat. 

Lows are around 12°C, rarely go below 8°C or above 14°C and it may rain. We recommend warm clothes, boots and a raincoat. 

PAYMENT METHODS

Payment for the course is in advance, at the time of registration.

At KPL we will only have 2 payment methods for cafeteria and Dharma Shop::

  • Cash in Colombian pesos
  • Credit card 

 

Please note that there are no exchange houses in Villa de Leyva and that the nearest ATM is about 25 minutes from KPL.

Transport & parking AT KPL

BY CAR

KPL is on Google maps, we recommend you to follow these directions from Villa de Leyva.

WARNING: FROM NOVEMBER 1 THE KPL PARKING AREA WILL NOT BE ENABLED.

We will not have the option of parking places in the retreat center from November 1 on.

After this date, you will need to leave your car in Villa de Leyva or other location (we are looking for options of parking places close to KPL). 

From Villa de Leyva we will provide a shuttle service to and from the retreat center, starting November 1, subject to demand.

FROM BOGOTA TO VILLA DE LEYVA OR KPL

INFO AND REGISTRATION

The course organization will provide transportation from Bogota to KPL and back.

From Villa de Leyva we will also provide a transportation service to and from the retreat center starting November 1, subject to demand.

If you have signed up for transportation organized by the course from Bogota or Villa de Leyva to KPL, the transportation team will contact you.

Bogotá has 2 bus national bus stations:

BEFORE TRAVELING

Please note that regulations may change at any time. Check the information here before traveling.

Sanitary requirements related to COVID-19 to enter Colombia:

  1. Report your health status through the Check-Mig form, 24 hours before your flight.
  2. Submit the vaccination card with a complete vaccination schedule that demonstrates having completed the vaccination schedule within 14 days prior to shipment or submit a negative PCR test done no more than 72 hours before shipment, or an antigen test refusal made in advance no more than 48 hours before boarding.
